SL Innovation Inks Exclusive Distributorship With Cyclone Robotics To Drive Hyperautomation

LEAP Market-listed SL Innovation Capital Berhad, via its wholly-owned subsidiary, CR Distribution Sdn. Bhd. (CRD), has entered an exclusive distributorship with Cyclone Robotics.

The partnership will enable the Group to capture opportunities arising from the digital transformation of companies through the use of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions in Malaysia.

The partnership was officially inked at a signing ceremony at Le Méridien Hotel, Kuala Lumpur by SLIC’s Managing Director, Soon Seng Teck and Cyclone Robotics’ Regional Director Hew Wee Choong, witnessed by SLIC’s Chairman Professor Emeritus Tan Sri Dato’ Dr. Syed Jalaludin Syed Salim.

Cyclone Robotics is a provider of RPA solutions with 24 offices across China and regional offices globally, including Silicon Valley, London, and Singapore.

Cyclone Robotics’ proprietary RPA solutions help businesses improve business operations, increase efficiency and reliability while significantly reducing operational costs.

CRD was set up to drive the adoption of Cyclone Robotics’ solutions in Malaysia.

CRD will also work closely with Cyclone Robotics to customise their RPA solutions for local industry applications, and integrate these solutions with artificial intelligence and machine learning to enable hyperautomation in local companies.

In the long run, the partnership also aims to promote digital literacy and upskilling amongst the Malaysian workforce thus ultimately future proofing them for the digital age.

During the signing ceremony, SLIC also highlighted that it had on 26 June 2023 announced on Bursa Malaysia its plan to transfer from the LEAP Market to the ACE Market of Bursa Malaysia (Proposed Transfer) following the new LEAP Market Transfer Framework which begun to take effect since 1 April 2023.

The Proposed Transfer would involve, among others, an issuance of new shares in the Company to the general public, subject to the approvals of the relevant authorities being obtained.
